Caltech Internship

The images and videos below are some of the photos I took of my experiments during my Caltech internship.

A Z-stack of dissociated cells right after dissociation (not enough time for reaggregation.)

The photos bellow are from trying to test if Aurelia Aurita (moon jellyfish) can reverse their life cycle.

Some Polyps Found in the experiment (Final stage of life cycle reversal), but they showed up with in a day of the stressors being added and at minimum according to the original study, it should take a week for them to finish their reversal into a polyp. Furthermore, I believe I found the source of Polyps contaminating my ephyra samples. Therefore I am fairly confident that these where not ephyra that reversed their life cycle into polyps but simply contamination.

I designed and made this to “cookie” cutter to remove the outer 1/3 of the Jellyfish for dissociation experiments.
