CNC (Computer Numerical Control)
I Built a CNC Router to machine large pieces of foam and wood to make the mold for my boat’s (Daedalus’s) hull. I also used it to make around 100 aluminum parts for my boat’s rudders and maneuvering thrusters. My CNC has been used for many other projects - including to support a research project at Caltech.

A mold I machined out of aluminum for making clear epoxy 3mm thick windows on my boat for my 100 watt LEDs. It has a tube that goes to a vacuum pump so it could degas the epoxy (removing the bubbles and causing it to stick to the boat during setup with 65 lb of force.) The mold has a reservoir for the excess epoxy on this side also.
This side is applied to the boat hull mold.. Here I am testing the epoxy window maker by testing it on a piece of plexiglass.)
